" I live as long as You hear about me. I shine like a star as long as the noise is on. A pet applause fed, hungry for a glow."
This is contemporary allegory of music box with a tiny dancer inside- the heart of the instrument. However this time, she is fame hungry, wants to be on the spot. The audience witnesses balancing on the fine line between generating self glow, and desperate attempts to stay in the light. How will this sway influence the whole mechanism, will it remain in harmony or will someone rebel out? Modular Light Cloud was designed and manufactured during ASK Summer School Workshops led by Jacek Markusiewicz and Marcin Strzała in collaboration with contemporary dance artist- Liwia Bargieł. The installation interacts with its surroundings, listening to the sounds made by the artist, becomes an “instrument”.
Performance will take place in Exhibiton Hall in the Architecture Faculty courtyard.
The project was realised thanks to help from Warsaw University of Technology Faculty of Architecture, Architecture for Society of Knowledge, Academic Association of the Faculty of Architecture of Warsaw University of Technology and partnering companies: LEDin, LEDline, Arduino Solutions and 3D Printers.
